Colony was founded by David Thompson in 1985, starting with pre-engineered steel buildings and an ambitious vision.

By the early 90’s, Colony became a leading pre-engineered builder and launched international operations across the globe.
00's
Jesse Atkinson, Thompson’s nephew, joined the company and laid the groundwork for future growth and service diversification.
10's
Atkinson acquired Colony and expanded services to include full design-build general contracting.
20's
Colony has finally expanded into the U.S., driven by bold goals for client satisfaction and employee loyalty that raise the industry standard.
